Nobody can equal me – Wizkid
The
starboy Worldwide Chief, Wizkid, has grown overly confident of himself
to the point of blurting out seemingly braggadocios words that have
attracted mixed reactions from his fans. It is true that Wizkid has gone
ahead of most African singers in terms of exposure to the global world
of music. He was even awarded as the most successful Nigerian singer.
That achievement and much more has gotten the international act feeling
kind of funky and unreplaceable.
After
dropping his latest hit song, “Come Closer” featuring Drake, his fame
got catapulted to the next level. And it got even better when the video
of the song garnered one million YouTube views in 24 hours, beating all
music videos so far by African singers. This very development further
placed the self-acclaimed Starboy ahead in the African music game.
The
Koko Master, D’banj, acknowledged Wizkid’s high heights by taking to
social media to post that he is proud of the singer. It seems like all
these things put together, got into the youngster’s head, making him now
see himself as a god. Taking to twitter, Wizkid wrote; “Nobody Can
Equal Me.” Some fans call it pride. Some call it fact. What do you call
it?
