The one and only international Starboy has earned the respect of many music stars around the world since he began mingling and collaborating with international music stars like Drake. He was even awarded as the most successful Nigerian music act for 2016, as well as considered the most famous African music act. His achievements so far cannot be overemphasized, as they stare us right in the face! Now, Baba Nla has earned the Koko Master’s respect as well.

D’Banj had once said; “when the Koko Master falls in love, you know say water don pass garri.” So, now that Wizkid has earned the Koko Master’s respect, it means the youngster has done more than “garri wey water pass.” Lol. Following Wizkid‘s release of his highly anticipated video for his international collaboration with Drake titled “Come Closer“, a lot of people were disappointed that Drake did not appear in the video.

Fans started the comparison game between Wizkid and D’banj since D’banj was among the first artistes to feature an international act on his song, “Endowed.” Snoop Dog appeared in D’Banj’s video, unlike Drake in Wizkid’s. D’banj didn’t view Wizkid’s case as disappointing, as he expressed support and sense of pride at Wizkid’s accomplishment via a post that said:  “I’m so proud of you @wizkidayo! Africa to the World!!! This is why we took the Leap.”
