Miranda Lambert Announces That She Secretly Married New Partner Brendan Mcloughlin

Miranda Lambert just shared some huge news. The country singer announced on Instagram over the weekend that she’d married the “love of her life,” Brendan Mcloughlin.

The announcement comes as a shock to Miranda’s fans, who had no idea that she was even dating anyone. She kept this relationship completely under wraps.

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” she wrote. “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. me. ❤️#theone”

The two reportedly married on January 26 after secretly dating for three months. Until now, Miranda hadn’t been in a public romance since April 2018, when she split with long-term boyfriend Anderson East.

Her new boo is a major departure from her previous romances. Instead of a country singer, he’s a police officer with the NYPD.

Most importantly, the new couple looks deliriously happy.

Miranda Lambert has had her fair share of high-profile relationships. She married fellow country singer Blake Shelton in 2011, and they were married for four years.

After that, she dated yet another country singer, Anderson East, for three years. They broke up in April 2018.

Miranda hasn’t been officially linked to anyone since that split – ten months ago. There was a rumor that she was seeing Evan Felker, frontman of the Turnpike Troubadours, but it was never confirmed.

Well, Miranda dropped a huge bomb on her fans over the weekend. Just after Valentine’s Day, she announced that she’s not only in a relationship – but she’s married.

Miranda posted two wedding photos on Instagram of her and her new hubby, Brendan Mcloughlin.

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news,” she wrote. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!”

“My heart is full,” she continued. “Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for… me. ❤️ #theone”

Though fans were definitely shocked by the news, Miranda’s friends reportedly weren’t. Sources told People all about the couple’s secret whirlwind romance.

Apparently, they met on November 2 when Miranda performed with the Pistol Annies in New York City.

Brendan is a member of the New York Police Department. He works security for Good Morning America, where the Pistol Annies performed that morning.

The two hit it off, and they secretly dated for the next three months.

“If you know Miranda’s dad and his background, you can guess why she’d easily connect with Brendan,” a source told People.

Miranda’s father Rick used to work for the Dallas Police Department. Her mother Bev also owned a detective agency, Lambert & Lambert.

“It was really dangerous, and yet my mom would spend the day taking pictures of somebody cheating – it could have been the president – and then we’d come home and she’d have cookies and milk,” Miranda told Rolling Stone in 2014.

Brendan was praised on social media for his work with the NYPD last year.

“This week these fine officers showed what we do best in #Midtown,” the tweet said. It showed a photo of Brendan and another officer.

Brendan and Miranda reportedly had their top-secret wedding on January 26. The singer waited until this past weekend to share the happy news.
