Davido, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Simi and others nominated for 2019 AFRIMA

- Top Nigerian musicians including Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy and Simi have been nominated for All Africa Music Awards 2019 - The musicians are being considered for the several award categories alongside other international artistes - The award ceremony will be held in November in a country that will be announced at a later time Asides gaining fame and money, another thing that makes the dedication and hard work of Nigerian musicians worth it, is the fact they can make their own art and get awards and recognition for representing Africa brilliantly on a global stage. 


Just recently, All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) held a press conference in Lagos and announced some of the nominees for their prestigious award ceremony titled Word festival which is slated to hold in November. Aderele Niyi, AFRIMA’s associate producer, unveiled the list of artistes nominees and they include Tiwa Savage, Davido, Burna Boy, Simi, Wizkid, Kizz Daniel, Teni, Yemi Alade, Niniola and other international musicians set to be recognised in the 2019 edition of the AFRIMA award ceremony. Niyi stated that he event was established to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent, while promoting the African cultural heritage. Meanwhile, a while back, Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti flew the Nigerian flag high when he got nominated for Grammy's. The singer's album was nominated for Best World Music Album.
